Safe and convenient thermal oil sample collection tool designed to safely handle a thermal oil sample when the thermal oil filter is pressurized under normal temperature operating conditions. Visual inspection of the magnetic oil filter core is a great indication the health condition of the internal pipe work circuit.
Designed for the thermal oil sample collection canister to be connected to any thermal oil pipework or conveniently to our standard thermal oil filter or magnetic oil filter core side stream oil filter.
Stainless steel 304 thermal oil sample collection canister construction with ergonomic plastic handle to eliminate heat transfer. Viton rubber gasket on the canister's removable lid. Normal temperature rating is 180 degrees C or the 300 degree C version is available upon request. Our thermal oil filter and magnetic oil filter can also customized for pressure and temperature requirements.
Regular thermal oil sample collection for lab analysis ensures a healthy and efficient thermal oil heater system.
Thermal oil delamination or cracking can lead to serious issues inside a thermal oil system. This results in loss of efficiency through reduced heat transfer properties of the thermal oil. Operating costs increase with additional fuel required from the heat source and sludge forming inside the pipework and oil heater. Our standard thermal oil filter or the magnetic oil filter is the ideal solution to increase the service life of the thermal oil.
Side stream oil filter body, flanges and dished end are manufactured from A106 Gr.B, SCH40 (7,11mm) & SA516 Gr.70, 8mm thick carbon steel for 11 bar pressure rating @ 200 degrees C. 300 degree + model specifications can be manufactured by request.
Stainless steel 304 100 & 35 micron filter baskets or magnetic filter core. Stainless steel 304 3000 gauss magnets and stainless steel 304 fittings to ensure durability. Designed and manufactured in Vietnam to meet the Australian standards AS1210-2010 edition.
Side stream oil filters are the perfect solution for gold elution heater circuits as they passively filter the oil without impeding the main oil flow if they block up internally. We understand this is paramount during a gold elution strip to ensure unnecessary burner stoppages during the strip sequence to maintain heat and maximize the gold solution recovery.
The side stream filter is designed to filter and remove foreign particles that can develop inside the main thermal oil heater's pipework over time from thermal cracking, oxidization and water contamination. The special magnetic filter core is mainly targeted towards thermal oil heaters used in the gold mining industry that are using plate heat exchangers. It is common for primary heat exchangers to breach the seals or crack plates between the oil and the elution sides, resulting in water filling the thermal oil pipework and overflowing the expansion tank.
The main purpose of the magnetic filter core has been designed to capture fine iron filings and weld slag that are the leading cause of premature thermal oil pump seal failure and valve seat wear. The fine iron filings and residual weld slag also build up around and jam the magnetic float switch rocker assembly located inside the expansion tank. This low level float switch is a critical safety interlock to shut down the thermal oil pump and burner in the event of a low oil level situation. Coupled together with our thermal oil sample collection kit just makes sense.
The standard thermal oil filter can be operated as a standard mesh basket or upgraded to a magnetic oil filter core to suit different thermal oil system applications. Our thermal oil sample collection canister has been designed to incorporate with the filter for quick connection and cradle support to ensure oil collections are completed with ease. Filter bodies can be manufactured to suit all types of thermal oil system m3 flow requirements.
